Superdrol Cycle

Superdrol is a common name often used for the anabolic steroid Methasterone. This steroid used to be available over the counter under the brand name Superdrol, but was eventually added to controlled substance lists along with all other anabolic steroids.

So while the name Superdrol is still often used, that particular brand is no longer manufactured. Some supplement companies continue to sell prohormone formulas over the counter under the name Superdrol, but it’s important to know these are not the anabolic steroid Methasterone.

Those who are familiar with the steroid Masteron will find that Methasterone is quite similar. In fact Masteron is a non-17a-alkylated form of Methasterone, making these two steroids closely related.

Guys who are more prone to the effects of aromatizing steroids which bring about estrogenic effects like gyno and water retention can greatly benefit from Superdrol, as it is does not aromatize and therefore provides an option to those users who can struggle with the estrogen related side effects of some other steroids.

What is Superdrol?

Methasterone is an oral anabolic steroid derived from DHT and is just a slight chemical alternation of Drostanolone (Masteron) where Superdrol is designed to be an oral steroid or C17-alpha alkylated steroid.

This isn’t the only alteration though, with Superdrol also have a small chemical modification compared with Masteron which gives Methasterone a greater anabolic effect and a slightly reduced androgenic impact. This makes Methasterone a powerful anabolic steroid with only a very low androgenic property, which can be seen in its anabolic to androgenic ration of 400 to 20.

Methasterone doesn’t aromatize but being an oral steroid it does come with toxicity risks to the liver and is not considered suitable for anyone who has existing liver health issues. But for those who are healthy and who are not confident in using injectable steroids, Superdrol can provide an enticing option to achieve excellent anabolic results without having to inject.

Superdrol has a short half life of about 8 hours. It works very quickly once administered and its effects can be noticed even within the first few hours.

Superdrol is a versatile steroid that fits well into both bulking and cutting cycles, having great benefits for both goals. But as we will see, it does come with some downsides that can be serious in some people and these will also be important considerations in your decision whether or not to use Superdrol.

Superdrol Benefits

Superdrol comes with some solid all round effects: it’s not a hugely powerful mass builder but with the right diet it can certainly help deliver some moderate mass gains. The good news is that without aromatizing activity, these gains come without any water retention so they’ll be nice and dry and hard in a very similar way that Masteron can achieve such effects.

Protein synthesis and nitrogen retention

Like most steroids, Superdrol will boost the important processes of protein synthesis and nitrogen retention which is where the increased anabolic effects kick in. As Superdrol is an oral steroid, doses will need to be worked out in terms of how many capsules you’ll take daily, and it’s important they are taken with food. While it can be tempting to try and enhance the positive effects of Superdrol with doses up to 30mg daily, and some users do take such a level, the stress to the liver such high doses are likely to cause should not be considered lightly.

Superdrol is commonly stacked with testosterone at a dose suitable for your specific goal of either bulking or cutting, or just at a level of testosterone replacement. Other common steroids that can be successfully stacked with Superdrol include Nandrolone and Trenbolone.

Superdrol vs. Dianabol vs. Anadrol

Dianabol and Anadrol are two other steroids that you might also consider using either in place of Superdrol. These are all quite different in what they can deliver, as well as possible side effects you’ll be dealing with.

There can be a mistaken belief that Superdrol is a more powerful form of Anadrol, however this is not true particularly when it comes to mass gain potential. Anadrol can provide significantly more scope for gaining mass compared to Superdrol. But Superdrol is still capable of delivering impressive gains and comes with a big advantage over Anadrol in this area: no water retention.

While Dianabol is one of the most respected and powerful steroids, it does come with a negative aspect which we don’t have with Superdrol: and that is its aromatizing effects. So Dianabol use is accompanied by water retention and gyno issues that you’ll have to deal with.

And while Anadrol is not an aromatizing compound, it can still work in ways that bring about some estrogenic effects including gyno. This makes Superdrol the only steroid out of these three which is guaranteed not to bring about any estrogenic side effects. For those users who are particularly sensitive to estrogenic effects or prefer not to deal with them, this can be the deciding factor.

Dianabol comes with the benefit of being a less androgenic compound so users who are prone to androgenic effects like hair loss can favor Dianabol for this reason.

All three of these steroids are powerful in their own right. Superdrol comes with the downside of having the most risk of liver toxicity of the three compounds. Anadrol is generally considered a much safer steroid to use.

Because Superdrol was never used medically, unlike Dianabol and Anadrol, there is less information out there about its positive and negative effects. Additionally Superdrol is usually the harder to find of the three when it comes to buying.

These are all factors to consider when you’re deciding which compound to use. Whichever one you choose between Superdrol, Anadrol or Superdrol, you can expect excellent muscle and strength gains that can be achieved in a short period of time.

Superdrol Results

You can expect some nice quality mass gains with Superdrol, and although they won’t be the massive gains you can get with some of the more powerful steroid compounds, they will come without extra fluid or gyno since Superdrol does not aromatize. But Superdrol is more than just a mass gaining compound. It can be used for virtually the entire range of bodybuilding and body composition goals from bulking to cutting to off-season use.

During the off season you can continue seeing the benefits of Superdrol through its ability to enhance the metabolism. You’ll be able to make clean gains during the off season as well as more efficiently maintain existing gains, rather than seeing muscle tissue loss.

This same effect applies during cutting: Superdrol promotes a high anabolic state in the body, encouraging the burning fat without the loss of lean muscle while your diet is taking in less calories than usual.

Without water retention or bloating, Superdrol’s effects bring about a hardened, dry look that can be difficult or impossible to achieve with a lot of other popular compounds. This can be considered in a similar way to the results possible with the near identical compound Masteron.

Superdrol Side Effects

Sufficient cardio training should also be regularly included in workouts.

Testosterone suppression

Superdrol users can expect high suppression of natural testosterone and this will require the use of a testosterone steroid. This provides a base level of testosterone hormone in the body for the duration of the cycle, and PCT will almost always be required following the end of the cycle.

Liver toxicity

There’s no getting around the risks to the liver with this oral steroid. For this reasons cycles should always be limited in length of no more than 8 weeks maximum; many will choose to use it for only 6 weeks however, during which time excellent results can still be achieved while balancing the stress on the liver.

Because of the high hepatotoxic nature of Superdrol, this steroid shouldn’t be used by anyone who has poor liver health. A break of at least 8 weeks, but ideally longer, should be taken after using Superdrol with no use of any other liver toxic steroids, to allow the liver enough time to recover.

Estrogenic side effects

With no aromatizing taking place, Superdrol does not bring about those familiar estrogen related side effects of water retention and gyno. This results in cleaner, harder gains, and also means you don’t need to use anti-estrogen drugs. But if you’re stacking Superdrol with aromatizing steroids you’ll still need to address estrogenic effects.

Superdrol Post Cycle Therapy

Superdrol will cause some level of testosterone suppression in male users. In most cases this will be a high level of suppression, so post cycle therapy will be essential following the cycle. Once your Superdrol cycle ends, normal testosterone function will be at a very low level.

While it will slowly recover on its own, this low testosterone state will persist for some time and bring with it a range of negative impacts. To avoid this, PCT will stimulate testosterone production during this time so the body can function normally. A standard PCT cycle of Clomid and/or Nolvadex can be implemented to encourage testosterone levels to rise, so that muscle gains can be maintained and fat is not inclined to being gained as is usually the case when testosterone drops.

You’ll also avoid other low testosterone problems like lack of energy and poor libido. The timing and length of your PCT cycle will also depend on which, if any, other compounds you’ve used in a stack with Superdrol; generally four to six weeks is sufficient in most cases.

Does Superdrol increase testosterone?

Superdrol does not increase levels of testosterone. Superdrol will cause your normal production of testosterone to drop quite dramatically, so you’ll almost always want to include a testosterone based steroid in the cycle so you can maintain testosterone health. Without this, you’ll fall into a state of very low testosterone and all the associated symptoms like loss of energy, no libido, difficulty gaining muscle, fat gain, fatigue and depression.

How long does it take Superdrol to work?

Superdrol is a fast acting oral steroid. It can start working within just two hours and often less. You can start noticing positive changes like strength improvements within just a few days, and this will allow you to supercharge your workouts at an early stage in a cycle. You’ll be lifting heavier and for longer, bringing on those gains faster.

What’s better Superdrol or Dianabol?

When it comes to comparing any steroids to each other, the better one is the one that can give you the specific results you want without causing side effects beyond a level that you’re capable of managing.

This means that there is no one steroid that’s better than any other; for some people with certain goals, Dianabol will be the best option but for other people it will be Superdrol that meets your needs better. Both Dianabol and Superdrol have their own pros and cons that need to be weighed up.

How bad is Superdrol for you?

All anabolic steroids can be bad for you when they are used in excess or not used sensibly. Superdrol comes with some potentially serious risks, including toxicity to the liver. Those with existing liver conditions should not use this steroid for this reason. Even healthy people will need to limit the length of use to no more than 8 weeks at a time. Another area Superdrol can be bad for you is in its likelihood in raising bad cholesterol levels. These are two aspects of Superdrol’s side effects that need to be carefully monitored if you are to safely use this steroid.

Superdrol is commonly used during a cutting cycle because of its excellent ability to help maintain lean muscle tissue when you’re on a calorie deficit diet while trying to burn fat. Superdrol keeps the body in a high anabolic state where fat is burnt as energy while muscle tissue is not used as energy. It is known to stack very well with Trenbolone during a cutting cycle.

Can you take Superdrol by itself?

Superdrol can either be used on its own in a cycle, or as part of a stack combined with other anabolic steroids. This steroid is known to stack well with most other steroids and it’s commonly simply combined with testosterone in either a cutting or bulking cycle. Those considering using Superdrol as a standalone compound should be aware of its suppressive effects on natural testosterone function; which is why it’s almost always used with at least a testosterone compound at TRT levels.

Where can I buy Superdrol?

Methyldrostanolone is one of the more uncommon steroids and as a result it can be one of the more difficult ones to buy. Although it was once an over the counter drug, that is no longer the case and it can now only be bought on the black market.

The Superdrol brand itself no longer exists so if you are buying this steroid, you must make sure it is legitimate Methyldrostanolone.

Like all anabolic steroids, Superdrol is a controlled substance in most countries and is not legal to purchase or use, and is also banned in competitions and sports by world anti-doping organizations.

Does Superdrol aromatize?

Superdrol is not an aromatizing steroid. This means it will not bring about the side effects associated with increased estrogen levels like water retention and gynecomastia.

So if you’re using Superdrol on its own in a cycle, you won’t require any anti-estrogen drugs to control these side effects. It also means any muscle gains won’t include water weight and you won’t have that bloated look that comes with many other steroids.
