Clenbuterol History and Overview

Clenbuterol has been around since the 1970s, although it’s only recently become a well-known name in performance circles. The primary medical purpose of Clenbuterol is its use as a treatment for asthmatics, where it helps open the airways and assist breathing6. While the FDA hasn’t approved Clenbuterol for human use in the US (Albuterol and other drugs are the preferred treatments there), it does have FDA approval for use in horses to treat airway obstructions7.

Another condition Clenbuterol has been investigated as a treatment for is significant depression8. However, the results of a small study were not promising, with most participants not seeing an improvement in depression symptoms, combined with undesirable side effects9.

Clenbuterol has a long history of being used by some professional athletes illegally, who were ultimately caught and suspended or punished in other ways. Some sprinters, baseball players, swimmers, boxers, and footballers have tested positive for Clenbuterol. This gives us a pretty good idea of what type of pursuits Clenbuterol appeals to the most outside of fat loss use – primarily those requiring exceptional cardio output and power.

Mechanism of Action

As a Beta-2-Adrenergic Agonist10, Clenbuterol’s primary use is to treat Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and bronchial asthma. Its primary intended mechanism of action is focused on the improvement of breathing. While Clenbuterol also benefits the athlete, other more incidental mechanisms of action are of greater interest to those who want to use Clen for fat loss. The two critical ones of interest to us as it relates to fat loss are:

  • Lipolysis
  • Nutrient partitioning

Clen has high bioavailability at up to 98% and avoids first-pass metabolism11. As plasma reaches its peak around 2 hours after administration, processes begin to activate, where triglycerides break down into fatty acids and glycerol. This is the process of lipolysis – where your body gets its energy from fat. And this is where the power of fat loss begins with Clenbuterol.

Improved Breathing

Clenbuterol relaxes the airway muscles, resulting in an opening of the airways and more effortless and more apparent breathing. This is one of its primary medical purposes, but it benefits you when you do a lot of cardio exercise to lose weight.

Should you use Clenbuterol to lose fat if you don’t intend to stick with a calorie-controlled diet and do consistent physical training? No! While Clen can still increase your metabolism and potentially have you losing some body fat without exercising, the amount would be minimal and not worth the side effects.

Over-eating and eating a poor-quality diet will also not yield the results you expect from Clen and will waste your time and money.

Fat loss is the primary reason most people want to use Clenbuterol. It has become famous as a fat loss agent, and people unfamiliar with the history or medical use of this drug could easily think that fat loss is the reason Clenbuterol exists.

You’ll want to be pretty lean already before you start using Clenbuterol, or you’re just wasting your time and money and putting your health at risk for what will be disappointing results. This is not a magic fat loss pill nor a general weight loss drug.

Clenbuterol’s fat-burning abilities can be considered just an offshoot from its original purpose as a bronchodilator for asthmatics. However, that function can bring some performance enhancements to your endurance capability. Getting the best fat loss results means using Clenbuterol properly as part of a wider fat loss plan. Whether you’re a bodybuilder, fitness model, or just someone wanting results for your personal goals, your fat loss plan will make or break your results with Clenbuterol.

Most commonly for those participating in contests, Clenbuterol will be used in the two months leading up to the contest, where the physique is already very lean. In these cases, Clenbuterol is not used as a general weight loss agent but specifically to burn off the last stubborn areas of fat in preparation for displaying the most defined, ripped, and shredded physique on the day of the competition.

Clenbuterol’s ability to make it easier to remove this fat allows competitors to have significantly better muscle definition that might otherwise be masked by overlaying fat. In serious competitions, every ounce of fat counts, and the most serious competitors will often add to Clen’s effects by stacking it with powerful fat-burning anabolic steroids like Winstrol.

Suppose you’re a more casual, non-competitive user of Clenbuterol and are using it to achieve your personal fat loss goals. In that case, you won’t need such a strict requirement as those who need to look their best by a certain date – but you will need to be quite lean already to get the maximum benefit of Clenbuterol. Clenbuterol Dosing and Administration

The standard method of using Clenbuterol is to start your cycle at a low dose and gradually increment the dosage until you reach your maximum desired dose. This differs from how we use most anabolic steroids, but it’s essential because Clen differs significantly from AAS.

There’s no denying that the results you can get with Clenbuterol are impressive. That’s only if you take the correct dosage, cycle correctly, stick to a strict diet, keep up your intensive training, and try to ignore all the side effects Clenbuterol may introduce at various stages.

Clenbuterol needs to be used in a way that maintains its maximum effects for the full length of your cycle. This means you need to adjust the dose as the weeks go on, starting at quite a low dose at the beginning of your cycle. The body adapts to Clenbuterol’s effects, making it necessary to gradually increase your dosage until you reach your maximum desired dose.

All Clenbuterol users should be very familiar with the basic measurements used in dosing. If you are familiar with using steroids, you would be used to measuring dosages in milligrams (mg). However, the dosage must be measured in micrograms (mcg and sometimes also written as µg) with Clenbuterol.

It is critical that a mistake is not made and that Clenbuterol isn’t dosed in milligrams, as that would be a very severe overdose. The upper end of Clenbuterol dosage is around 100mcg, and 1mg equals 1000mcg, which is ten times the maximum daily Clenbuterol dose you would want to take safely.

Unlike steroids, where there is usually a vast difference between female and male recommended dosages, Clenbuterol allows both to use very similar doses. Males can often go slightly higher, but not by a whole lot. Because females are, on average, smaller in body size and weight than men, the dose must be tailored accordingly. Otherwise, the response to Clenbuterol is very much the same with both sexes.

Doses

Clenbuterol is a highly potent drug, so starting your dosage low and scaling it up slowly throughout the cycle is essential. Therapeutic and clinical study doses are typically 20mcg to 40mcg per day. And this is often where performance users will start as well.

Regardless of your experience level with Clen, we will gradually increase the dosage as the cycle progresses from 10mcg to 20mcg every few days until you reach your maximum dose. Here’s a general guide to Clenbuterol bodybuilding doses for different experience levels:

Beginner

A 20mcg starting dose is highly recommended. Consider increasing your dose after three to four days of evaluating your response. Beginners will often find no need to extend beyond a 60mcg maximum dose.

Intermediate

With some Clen experience under your belt, a starting dose of 40mcg can set the stage for increasing it gradually as you see fit. One method I like is to stick with one dose for two weeks, then increase it by 20mcg. A simple 6-week cycle with this strategy takes you from 40mcg to 60mcg, then 80mcg for the final two weeks.

Advanced

Hardcore Clen users who risk using higher doses are those most able to tolerate the harsh side effects. 80mcg is a very high dose; many users will struggle at this level. 100mcg is not unheard of, and some users have taken 120mcg and seen pretty unbearable side effects (not recommended).

Female

Females often use Clenbuterol; mostly female celebrities have made Clen famous for its fat-loss abilities. The standard protocol applies to gradually increasing your Clenbuterol dose throughout the cycle, usually by 10mcg every two to three days.

A standard Clenbuterol cycle for women will begin at 20mcg per day and increase by 10-20mcg every 2-3 days until you reach a maximum of 80mcg to 100mcg daily. Regardless of your goals, your Clenbuterol needs to be planned carefully so that you’re sticking to the strongly recommended strategy of incrementing your Clenbuterol as the cycle progresses.

When planning your Clenbuterol cycle, you must know your maximum dose well. This is because you’ll gradually increase the dose as the cycle continues. If you notice you’re struggling with side effects at a lower than your desired peak dosage, you might choose not to proceed to the planned maximum.

The maximum Clenbuterol dosage for females will rarely exceed 100mcg daily. Many women will choose not to go above 80mcg. Females will rarely take 120mcg of Clenbuterol, but some of the more hardcore and experienced women have been known to reach that dosage. It is not recommended for the average or beginner female Clenbuterol user. A starting Clenbuterol dosage for women will usually be 20mcg or 40mcg. It should then be increased every few days until you reach your desired maximum dose.

Do you need to gradually decrease your dosage for the second half of your cycle? It is not considered essential. Your dosage comes down to your personal preference – some Clenbuterol users will stop the cycle at the highest dose, but others will prefer to ramp it down over the final week or so. It will make no known difference to your results but is a strategy to help mitigate any effects of suddenly coming off a strong stimulant that some people can experience.

Dosing Schedule, Half-life, and Cycle Length

Clenbuterol’s half-life is estimated to be anywhere from 35 to 48 hours. This makes it active throughout the day and night, regardless of what time you take it. This can present some issues for Clen users – because this drug is well known for causing sleep issues.

First time users of Clen are more likely to have worse side effects than people who have been using it for some time. It can take a while to get used to Clen, but if adverse effects are not bearable then the wise thing to do is to decrease your dosage until any side effects are more manageable.

As a powerful stimulant, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Clen can result in sleep difficulties, but it does make it essential to at least attempt to time your dosing to minimize sleep disturbance. Most people will take it in the morning, giving it time to have the most potent stimulant effects peak and wane later in the evening.

There is something else I want to mention here: Some people ask whether Clen is an excellent pre-workout compound. My answer is No! Taking it before a workout will not benefit your training; it’ll probably ruin it. Often, we’ll feel the side effects within an hour or two of taking a dose, and you don’t want those kicking in while you train (anxiety and jitters, for example).

Just how long it is considered safe to use Clen is always up for debate. There’s no safe time to use Clenbuterol for performance and fat loss because there will always be risks at any dose and time. Typically, I’d aim to use Clen for 4 to 6 weeks. Some users go for longer, eight weeks or more, a risk some will take.

But here’s the kicker:

One of the most popular and effective ways of using Clen (and some will say the safest way) is to use it for two weeks, followed by two weeks off. This allows for recovery time and avoids stagnation of results. Many others argue that this strategy isn’t necessary and that you should use Clen continuously for 4 to 8 weeks. Ultimately, it’s a matter of personal preference and tolerance to Clenbuterol and its side effects.

Coming off Clenbuterol

Adjusting your Clenbuterol dosage progressively higher as your cycle advances is normal and recommended. We don’t need to do the same in the opposite direction. That means there’s no rule regarding “coming off” Clenbuterol. Many users will stop it completely once the highest dose is reached at the end of the cycle. Some users will decrease the dosage over a few days at the end of the Clen cycle, but most people will find this unnecessary and with no benefit.

Likely Results

What do you want to get out of Clen? Most of us will use it for fat loss despite its excellent effects for specific athletic pursuits. So, how much weight can you lose when using Clenbuterol for a few weeks? There are many other factors involved:

  • Your current weight
  • Your diet
  • The type and amount of exercise you’re doing

Remember this: Clenbuterol has often falsely been promoted as a magic weight loss formula that will “melt fat off you.” While it will undoubtedly help you lose more fat than you could otherwise without it, you still need to do all the right things to facilitate weight loss. And I always say to people: Keep your expectations realistic.

Aiming for a further reduction of a few percent is ideal if you’re already at or below 15% of body fat. You’re not likely to get down to 7% on one Clen cycle. People typically report 10- 15 lbs of fat loss using Clen for an average 6-week cycle or with ongoing 2-week on and 2-week off usage.

Clenbuterol Cycles

Clenbuterol is a compound used by both males and females in a very similar way. Unlike anabolic steroids, women don’t have to worry about virilization or other hormonal side effects with Clen, so females generally use the same dosage range as males. Individual responses to Clen will dictate a comfortable and effective dose for you and how long you use it.

More experienced users will almost always be stacking Clenbuterol with other more powerful substances like anabolic steroids. The Clenbuterol portion of any cycle will rarely change much or at all whether you are a beginner or advanced user because how we cycle Clen is very different from how steroids are used. What will determine your cycle as a more advanced user will be other compounds that are included as a stack.

Clenbuterol Cycle for Men

Clenbuterol is capable of giving vastly different experiences to different men. Some find that the stimulant side effects, even at the lowest doses, are too harsh to handle, while others can use Clen at the higher end of the dosage range with few noticeable side effects.

So, with that in mind:

There is no typical Clenbuterol cycle for men. Here, I want to share just some of the experiences and results that guys are seeing with Clen – whether they’re using it on its own or stacked with other PEDs.

Keep in mind that people with a wide range of personal goals make use of Clen for fat burning, so those with the aim of getting trim for a competition might differ in their cycle compared with someone using it for bodybuilding, or someone just wanting to meet personal fat loss goals.

Fat loss results for male Clen users are reported anywhere from 10lbs within three weeks up to 15lbs when using Clen for longer. Notably, men note they’re able to retain existing lean muscle. I’ve noticed that many men wisely don’t over-extend their Clen dosage.

Excellent results (such as losing 15lbs in 4-5 weeks) are seen on cycles starting at 20mcg and only reaching a maximum of 60mcg per day. What does this tell us? Just because some people think you need to be taking 80mcg or higher to see results, suffering the side effects of those higher doses is no longer necessary to see impressive fat loss.

Many guys who regularly test their resting heart rate find a significant rise – sometimes 30 bpm or more than usual. This is Clen’s stimulant effects kicking in and its thermogenesis and metabolism-raising activity. Some men find it too uncomfortable to have a faster resting heart rate, leading to a decrease in the Clen dose or even stopping it altogether.

Needless to say, men who use Clen on their own and have prior experience with steroids find it a relief not to do any post-cycle therapy after a Clenbuterol cycle.

Clenbuterol Cycle for Women

With Clenbuterol not being an anabolic steroid or any other type of hormonal PED, women will run it very similarly to men in terms of dosage and cycle length – the main point of difference will be any other compounds stacked with Clen.

Positive things that women are saying about their Clenbuterol experiences include impressive fat loss results ranging anywhere from 5lbs to 15lbs depending on personal factors (dose, length of use, current weight, diet, and so on).

You can’t use a potent drug like Clenbuterol and not have a lot of negative comments or complaints/concerns being shared. Female users will typically be well aware of the downsides of Clen, and frequent comments about jitters, anxiety, and sleeping difficulty can be found.

One issue I often come across is that of females asking (and some men also do this, I might add) whether Clen is an excellent idea to use to lose fat where the person rarely exercises, has a high existing body fat percentage and has little or no history (or intention) of eating a disciplined diet?

Not.

This is a recipe for disappointing results; women should be relatively fit and experienced with sticking with a restrictive diet while using Clenbuterol. Otherwise, you’re better off dieting and working out (with weights training) than using a harsh substance like Clen.

Clenbuterol-Only Cycle

The following Clenbuterol cycle example is suitable for just about anyone. This cycle follows a two-week on, two-week off pattern. Clen is used daily for two weeks, stopped completely for another two weeks, and started again afterward. The below amounts are listed as daily dosage values.

  • Day 1-2: 20mcg
  • Day 3-4: 40mcg
  • Day 5-6: 60mcg
  • Day 7-8: 80mcg
  • Day 9-10: 100mcg
  • Day 11-12: 120mcg
  • Day 13-14: 140mcg

When the dosage has reached its highest level at 140mcg, the cycle is stopped. A two-week break follows. Importantly, when starting your cycle again, the dosage does not start at the low level but instead at what you finished the previous cycle at; in this case, 140mcg. This dosage is maintained throughout the entire second cycle for two weeks.

Clenbuterol Cutting Cycle

The above cycle is suited for someone using Clen as a standalone supplement for fat loss. But what about bodybuilders using it as just one part of a cutting cycle? Consider this example 8-week cycle for such a use:

  • Clenbuterol: 120mcg daily
  • Anavar (Oxandrolone): 80mg daily
  • Trenbolone: 200mg weekly
  • Testosterone Propionate: 100mg weekly

This cutting cycle makes use of the powerful fat loss steroid Anavar, which will compound significantly on the effects of Clenbuterol. The above cutting cycle is suitable only for those who understand and know how to address the side effects of anabolic steroid use.

Beginner Clenbuterol Cycle

A beginner’s Clenbuterol cycle introduces you to the compound and allows you to gauge your body’s response to both the side and positive effects. It’s also suited for women who use Clenbuterol alone and at lower doses than men. Despite this basic-looking cycle, excellent fat loss and enhancing muscular definition results can still be achieved.

This short one-month cycle will also introduce you to the incremental method of increasing Clenbuterol’s dosage as the cycle progresses. This is an essential way of using Clen because your body quickly adjusts to its effects. You can and should adjust the dosage according to your comfort level, and women will usually want to lean towards a maximum dose of between 80mcg and 100mcg daily.

For this cycle, start at 20mcg on the first day. Increase the dosage by 10mcg every three days until you reach your desired maximum. There is no need to taper down the dose after you’ve hit your maximum – you can stop the cycle at the 4-week mark or a maximum of 6 weeks.

Intermediate Clenbuterol Cycle

Intermediate users will be at the stage where you’re comfortable stacking Clen with at least one other compound. This could be an anabolic steroid or other type of drug. Still, the overall goal will be a cutting cycle where quick and powerful fat loss is a priority, as is retaining lean muscle and achieving a toned and ripped physique.

Clenbuterol and Winstrol are a popular combination. Using Clenbuterol for the first four weeks of this 8-week stack gives a quick head start to fat burning and cutting, with Winstrol’s powerful effects taking you through to the end of the cycle.

  • Winstrol 20mg daily: Weeks 1-8

Clenbuterol’s dosage will gradually increase and decrease, as is the standard use. Start at 20mcg/day, then gradually increase the dose each day until you reach your desired peak of around 120mcg/day. This cycle is suited to men. Winstrol is generally not recommended for women because of its androgenic side effects. If women still wish to use Winstrol in a cycle like this, taking a dosage of 5mg may keep virilization in check.

Advanced Clenbuterol Cycle

Once you reach a more advanced level with Clenbuterol, you will be confident in adding more powerful compounds. At this stage, you should already be an experienced anabolic steroid user, as the more substances you combine, the greater the juggling act you’ll have when dealing with side effects.

This cycle uses an advanced compound called T3 (Cytomel), a thyroid hormone. It can help further reduce body fat and can even lower cholesterol. This short and sharp 8-week cycle also uses two powerful anabolic steroids, Trenbolone (specifically for the most experienced users only) and Masteron. Testosterone is included at a hormone replacement dosage only to support testosterone suppression caused by the steroids.

Weeks 1-2, 5-6, 8:

  • Clenbuterol 120mcg per day

Weeks 1-8:

  • Testosterone Propionate 100mg weekly
  • Trenbolone Acetate 200mg weekly
  • Masteron 400mg weekly
  • Cytomel (T3) at 90mcg per day

This cycle uses Clenbuterol in the 2-week on and 2-week off cycle format. If you want to continue using Clen after the 8-week cycle (such as during PCT), it’s possible, as the cycle only includes four weeks of Clenbuterol. In any case, your total time using Clenbuterol should still not exceed eight weeks. This stack is suitable for male users only.

Clenbuterol vs. Other PEDs

When it comes to pure weight loss or fat loss PEDs, Clenbuterol is considered possibly the very best of the bunch. Only if you can handle the side effects, but it’s certainly not for everyone. Even many anabolic steroids are less risky and easier to use than Clen.

There are no AAS, which are pure fat-loss compounds, but some can facilitate fat-burning more than others. Outside AAS, we can potentially use other PEDs to burn fat. Here, I compare a few of them to Clenbuterol:

Clenbuterol vs. Albuterol

Albuterol is also a respiratory medication but is considered milder than Clen. Many in the fitness community prefer Albuterol to Clen because it doesn’t cause the same anxiety and jittery effects at lower doses.

Albuterol is still a stimulant, but with its much shorter half-life (up to 6 hours), it doesn’t linger in your body as Clenbuterol does, and this means you can have it eliminated before sleeping – avoiding the sleep issues we can suffer with Clenbuterol.

Of the two, I would consider Clen the better muscle preserver and one that gives you a better cut. But when it comes to heart health, Albuterol is the easy winner. Even if the results aren’t as extreme, it’s a less risky drug.

There’s a good reason why Albuterol is the preferred prescription drug in most countries – it’s better tolerated and doesn’t come with the same high cardiovascular risks that Clenbuterol does.

Clenbuterol vs. Anavar

Females, in particular, often use either Anavar or Clen.

Anavar, even though an anabolic steroid, will be a safer and more tolerable PED to use than Clenbuterol for women. Many women can use Anavar at low doses with no side effects. Anavar can promote more muscle gains in women than Clenbuterol, while men are not likely to see significant gains with either drug.

Anavar gives a much more significant boost to strength and is superior in drying out the physique and improving vascularity – hence why it’s often used in contest prep cycles. For pure fat loss, Clenbuterol is a better choice (though a riskier one with more side effects), while if muscle and strength gains are more your priority, then Anavar ticks the boxes.

Clenbuterol vs. Cardarine

Cardarine is used to burn fat and improve athletic performance.

Cardarine is noted as an almost side-effect-free PED often included in the category of SARMs (but is not a SARM). However, Cardarine comes with one concerning risk: Cancer development, as shown in a study on rats. This means we use Cardarine at our own risk with unknown long-term risks – however, I’d say the same about Clenbuterol.

Cardarine is a far safer compound than Clen and is easier to use. Clen is a more potent fat burner, but Cardarine will improve your endurance and performance much more. When trying to burn fat, we want to be able to train for longer and at a higher intensity, and for that reason, some users will stack Clen and Cardarine to get the best of both worlds (see more on this stack below).

Stacking Clenbuterol

Clenbuterol is often used independently and is very effective as a sole compound. That’s precisely how you should try using it first because you’ll want to evaluate your response to the potentially harsh and challenging side effects.

Once you’re confident using Clen and you’ve worked out the dosage range you’re comfortable with, it’s possible to create some effective stacks that enhance the amount of body fat you can lose and improve your performance and other benefits. Anabolic steroids and other types of fat loss and performance PEDs are often stacked with Clen.

When stacking Clenbuterol, how it is used doesn’t change much. Users will generally select one of two cycle methods: A 2-week on and 2-week off cycle or a 4- 8-week cycle. You then build the cycle around Clenbuterol and place the other compounds where they will have the best effect.

Since Clenbuterol is a powerful fat-loss compound, it will always be used in a cutting cycle. People use a range of other compounds with Clenbuterol to burn even more fat, improve muscle definition, and prepare for competitions. These are some of the most common compounds that are stacked with Clenbuterol:

  • Winstrol – A powerful anabolic steroid with excellent fat-burning properties and anabolic activity that helps preserve lean muscle considerably more than Clenbuterol can. Winstrol will also add increased strength and power and better recovery to your cycle.
  • Anavar – Another potent cutting steroid with generally less side effects than Winstrol. Often used by females for this reason. Anavar comes with powerful fat-burning properties but also allows another level of lean muscle and strength gains that go well above and beyond what can be achieved solely with Clenbuterol.
  • Cytomel (T3) – A naturally occurring thyroid hormone used for hypothyroidism, which is a condition that causes weight gain due to a slowed-down metabolic rate. This is a very powerful hormone to take and only for advanced users because the side effects can be harsh. T3 is often used for serious and extreme fat burning before a competition.

These are just three of the many other compounds that we can stack with Clenbuterol for enhanced fat-loss results. However, the good must be balanced with the bad, and users must be prepared to deal with additional side effects with every substance they add to a stack. Here are a few stack suggestions to consider:

Clenbuterol + T3 Stack

T3 is another compound used for fat burning, which is often stacked with Clenbuterol. T3 can be catabolic and risk some muscle loss. Due to this, this stack is most often used by women who are more concerned with burning fat than retaining muscle mass.

Dosing and Cycle Length:

  • T3: 25mcg-50mcg daily

  • Anxiety
  • Cramps
  • Insomnia
  • Increased blood pressure
  • Increased or irregular heart rate
  • Loss of muscle

Results

This cycle is for those already at a relatively low body fat level (average weight or below). 15lbs of weight loss is possible, depending on your food intake and exercise routine. An interesting conflicting effect with these two compounds is that Clen can decrease your appetite while T3 can increase it. You may notice no change to the appetite, but an increase in appetite from T3 can impact your results and requires extra willpower to stick with a fat-loss diet.

PCT

No PCT is required for this cycle.

Clenbuterol + Anavar Stack

Stacking Clen with Anavar will boost fat loss, help you gain lean muscle, and promote a harder and dryer physique with increased vascularity. We stick with a low dose of Anavar here to minimize additional side effects on top of Clen’s, but you can optionally take more Anavar if it suits your goals.

Results

Anavar will give you a nice strength boost, which is welcome when dieting. Total fat loss depends on your diet, training, and body weight. You should be relatively lean to get the most out of this cycle. Anavar’s ability to dry and harden the physique is only beneficial if you lean, retain existing, and build lean muscle.

PCT

Some men can run a low-dose Anavar cycle without PCT. If PCT is required: Nolvadex for four weeks at 40mg/day for the first three weeks, 20mg/day for one week. Females require no PCT.

Clenbuterol + Cardarine Stack

I’d call this a higher-risk stack simply because Clen is already a challenging compound. While Cardarine won’t add many noticeable side effects, it does come with unknown risks – keeping in mind that Cardarine is an abandoned research chemical. However, the potential benefits of this stack can’t be understated: The significant performance and endurance boost that Cardarine delivers will ramp up the body fat you can lose with Clen simply by increasing the amount and intensity of exercise you can do. This is a stack only to consider if you intend to train at high intensity for the entire cycle to make it worthwhile using Cardarine.

Benefits:

  • Fat loss
  • Muscle preservation
  • More endurance and stamina
  • Lowered blood sugar levels
  • Improved cholesterol
  • Improved breathing
  • Decreased appetite

Dosing and Cycle Length:

  • Cardarine: 20mg/day

Along with fat loss (anywhere from 10 lbs or more), this stack will notably improve your stamina and endurance. Your training (including weight lifting) will be able to run for longer, and fatigue will take longer than usual to set in. Ultimately, this leads to faster fat burning and is the primary reason we include Cardarine in this stack.

PCT

Cardarine does not cause testosterone suppression, and men won’t require PCT.

The excellent news about Clenbuterol is that it is not a hormonal compound and does not affect your testosterone production. Therefore, PCT is not required after using Clenbuterol on its own. However, suppose you (as a male) intend to stack Clen with any anabolic steroid or suppressive SARM. In that case, you will need to do some form of appropriate post-cycle therapy relevant to the other PEDs being used.

Clenbuterol Side Effects

Clenbuterol is considered an advanced and potentially dangerous fat-burning PED choice. It comes with actual health risks if not used carefully:

  • The most concerning health risk to worry about is the cardiovascular system12.
  • Other side effects may not pose a serious health concern but can be disruptive and uncomfortable.

Here are the main side effects you need to watch out for when using Clen:

Short-Term Side Effects

The fact that Clenbuterol is a stimulant means you can expect a range of side effects that will impact every individual to a different extent. Some users of Clen will be significantly more sensitive to stimulant-caused side effects, while others will have a higher level of tolerance. You won’t know what adverse effects you can expect from Clenbuterol until you’ve used it.

We can still get an overall idea of all the possible side effects reported by those using Clen for bodybuilding and competition purposes. If you’re already an anabolic steroid user, you can expect Clen’s side effects to be very different from what you’re used to with steroids. Clen is an entirely different type of compound, so it acts in a very different way than steroid hormones.

Stimulant-type short-term side effects13 of Clenbuterol can include:

  • Shakiness and tremors
  • Racing heart and heart palpitations
  • Increased perspiration
  • Increased anxiety
  • Difficulty sleeping

These side effects, while relatively minor compared to those of anabolic steroids, are caused by Clen’s sudden stimulation of the nervous system and can look very similar to those experienced by some people who consume common everyday stimulants like caffeine in high quantities.

Most Clen users will find these side effects come on soon after starting Clenbuterol, and as your body gets more accustomed to the drug, they can reduce or even stop altogether. These short-term side effects will be difficult to tolerate in other users, so you might choose not to use Clenbuterol. Those suffering from existing anxiety should keep in mind the potential effects on mental health as well as physical.

It’s important to realize that even if the above effects fade away, Clenbuterol’s fat-burning ability caused by an enhanced metabolism is still going on. A lack of stimulant side effects does not mean that Clenbuterol isn’t working and shouldn’t be taken as an indication that you need a higher dose if your dosage has reached the maximum level of your intended incremental dosage plan.

Other short-term side effects besides those normally associated with powerful stimulants can include:

  • Headaches
  • Muscle cramps

Drinking more water and keeping up your electrolyte nutrient intake (potassium, sodium, calcium, and magnesium) can mitigate cramps. Staying hydrated can also assist with some headaches, but each user will find their response different. Usually, these side effects will subside as soon as two days after starting Clenbuterol, but in some cases, it can extend up to one week.

Long-Term Side Effects

Ongoing insomnia14 can also become a longer-term side effect of Clen. In the worst case, some people can find themselves virtually unable to sleep, which isn’t helped by Clen’s half-life, which stretches to almost 36 hours, making it difficult to time your doses to avoid sleeping difficulty. Lack of sleep will impact your results negatively and make it harder for you to recover from intensive workouts.

More serious long-term side effects can impact heart function. The heart can suffer within a surprisingly short time if you are using Clenbuterol at high doses. These damaging impacts can include changes to the size and weight of your heart, less heart strength, and compromised overall heart activity.

Due to the more rapid heart rate and increased dilation that Clen produces, in the most serious cases, you could experience cardiac hypertrophy, where the ventricle walls thicken due to the stress that Clenbuterol puts on the heart. The result? A potential heart attack and possible death.

Needless to say, using Clenbuterol at high doses is a serious health risk and should be avoided at all costs. But even at lower doses, some unlucky users of Clenbuterol can find themselves experiencing some very alarming heart-related side effects, which can quickly turn into long-term and lifelong side effects.

There’s no real way of knowing your risk of heart-related impacts when using Clenbuterol, as even those with a healthy heart can wind up with serious issues.

Female-Specific Side Effects

Women generally want to take a Clenbuterol dosage lower than the average male dose. However, this does not remove the risk of side effects at all. Most side effects that females risk experiencing with Clenbuterol will be the same as men, including all the adverse effects described above, like increased heart rate, sleeping difficulties, muscular cramps, and increased perspiration. These are quite mild effects that most women will find reduced after the first couple of weeks of using Clenbuterol.

Some possible additional severe complications are female-specific, though. Women using Clenbuterol run the risk of fertility complications and disrupting the menstrual cycle. When a female takes Clenbuterol at high doses for prolonged periods, the danger of these life-changing side effects developing will increase. This is an essential reason women must keep their Clenbuterol dosage as low as possible.

Unfortunately, if side effects relating to menstruation and fertility do develop, they can continue to be a problem even after you’ve stopped taking Clen. Clenbuterol has not been studied in depth for its effects and risks in humans at performance doses, so the exact cause of these serious complications is not well understood.

Additionally, breastfeeding and pregnant women should avoid any use of Clenbuterol. The potential impacts that Clen could have on a developing baby are not understood, and this alone makes the risk of using this very powerful stimulant far too high for females who are pregnant or nursing.

Is Clenbuterol Safe?

Using any drug outside of its approved medical use always comes with significant risks. Clenbuterol is no exception, and some users will find the stimulant side effects themselves are too difficult to handle. Clen can present more significant challenges if you struggle with a few cups of coffee daily. These are considered mostly annoying side effects; however, those with mental health conditions can find the extra anxiety and potentially associated depression that may develop after “coming down” off Clen is too dangerous.

Prolonged use at higher doses can take Clenbuterol’s safety to all new levels, and this is where the risks will amplify considerably. Heart palpitations, chest pain, and rapid breathing can bring about fear of a heart attack. In the most severe circumstances, an actual heart attack is not unheard of after using Clenbuterol.

One of the reasons Clenbuterol is not approved for use in the USA is its potential to cause permanent organ damage. Studies have found that a very high percentage of Clenbuterol users who experienced severe side effects ended up having to be admitted to hospital.

Many of these people are first-time users of Clenbuterol, and it is known that those who are using Clen for the first time are more likely to suffer from side effects. This means when you decide to use Clenbuterol for the first time, you are statistically likely to experience one or more alarming side effects because you cannot predict how your body will respond to Clenbuterol.

Clenbuterol Supplement

Because Clenbuterol is too dangerous to use for long periods and too often, you need to use it at a time where you’ll get maximum benefit, and that’s only after you’ve become very lean through other methods. All this leads me to look very closely at possible alternatives. Clenbutrol gives you similar results to Clenbuterol, focusing on cutting, increasing performance by boosting endurance and energy, and preserving lean muscle, but without the side effects of it or the need for a prescription or black market purchase.

Dieting can be rough, plain, and simple. As you get further into it, it gets harder, and you eventually start getting hungry and irritable. I don’t think I’ve ever found a way around that, so I try to lose as much fat as possible with my diet alone, but it’s certainly easier with a quality fat-loss product like Clenbutrol!!

Clenbutrol works to burn fat by increasing metabolism through thermogenesis, which then encourages using stored fat as energy. This happens without the loss of muscle that can so often occur when you’re on a calorie-restricted diet during a cutting phase.

Clenbutrol is hands down one of the best fat-loss products you could use, and I will explain why. I’ve used all different types of fat loss products in the past, and some worked better than others, but sometimes I didn’t feel good using them. I would feel jittery, irritable, short of breath, lose focus, and generally have a not-healthy feeling.

I’m not training for anything other than to look lean and feel great. That is a fine line to walk because sometimes getting lean can fatigue you. I know guys who are shredded to the bone, but after 20 minutes in the gym, they’re ready to go home because they’re tapped out. I don’t see the sense in working out if it’s not enjoyable.

This is where Clenbutrol comes into play for me; it’s a little more forgiving on a diet, so I can still consume enough calories and have energy for the gym but still have six-pack abs, veins, and good muscle definition!!

Some weeks, I can get away with throwing in an extra cheat meal or two and continue to get results. Hell, last night I ate two plates of spaghetti with some garlic bread and woke up looking leaner this morning!!

I feel like the combination of different ingredients in Clenbutrol is more synergistic than other fat loss supplements but not overkill in one particular ingredient.

The problem with many supplements is that they’ll do something like put too much caffeine. Clenbutrol feels even across the board, and if it wasn’t, I know I’d probably feel like shit while using it. I know the difference between enough caffeine to do the job and overkill!! I’ve noticed a serious kick in the ass since I started including Clenbutrol in my regimen. How to Accelerate Fat Loss in 14 Days

I will tell you a few little secrets about getting shredded here that are serious game-changers. They’re simple, affordable, and will get you more shredded and keep your muscles fuller. One issue I constantly see over and over again is people who want to use steroids but are so high in body fat that they would benefit very little from them. Guys who are over 20% body fat want to run a cycle, and this makes no sense when it comes to fat loss!!

When you have that much body fat on your frame, your body will not begin tapping into muscle mass for energy for a long time. Your body has a ton of fat stores to use for energy, and to dump steroids into your body at that point is a complete waste to me.

Why would you want to deal with recovery issues from a cycle when you hardly came close to where you wanted to end up? I always believed in dieting down as much as I could on my own before beginning a cycle. The best I’ve ever looked was when I did a 14-week diet and only used anabolics for the final eight weeks. For the first six weeks, I used nothing and ate extremely strictly!!

You’d be damn surprised at how good you can look even BEFORE A CYCLE when your training and nutrition are on point and it’s consistent!! A lot of what I share with you are practices I’ve done or am currently doing while writing this. I will give you a few tips here to lean quickly without losing muscle mass. Following this guide, you’ll progress about a month in 10-14 days. Trust me, I’m seeing this for myself right now!!

1. Take 14 days off from lifting weights

The first thing you want to do is take 14 days off from lifting weights. You won’t know what to do with yourself without weights, right? But think about how long you may have been pounding the weights without a break. If you follow this protocol, you will look larger, harder, and dryer when said and done!!

2. Drop carbs down to 100 grams per day

Next, you will drop your carbs to roughly 100 grams daily and consume them in the morning and with dinner. Cutting carbs this low is not something I’d typically do right away, but it’s much easier to manage without the recovery demands of weight lifting coupled with cardio, which is why I suggest it during this phase!! I also recommend it during this protocol so your body will soak them up when you return to working out since they’ve been lowered for 10-14 days.

3. You will not have a cheat meal during this period!!

Don’t act like a bitch, just do it!! Do you want to be a sheep or a wolf here? You won’t be as hungry as you’d think when weights are taken out of the equation, and lowering carbs isn’t as difficult when recovery demands aren’t as crucial.

4. Double your cardio sessions and frequency!!

Since weights are now out of the equation, you want to increase your cardio to 6x/wk for an hour a session. This is much easier when you go to the gym; you only have to worry about cardio. An hour flies by, and you’re soaked in sweat when it’s all said and done (you should be, anyway).

5. Drink black coffee and water only

Drink 1 cup of black coffee in the morning and another late afternoon. Caffeine will help with fat loss and energy levels. Force 1 gallon of water into you per day. This can be more difficult as we get older, I’ve found. It’s almost like you must force yourself to start drinking more water before you feel like drinking more. Then, once the cycle starts, it seems easier. Water is a calorie burner and only helps with fat loss. It also helps keep you full when calories and carbs are cut down.

6. Begin using three caps/day of Clenbutrol

We mainly want Clenbutrol here because it is a good synergistic combination of fat-loss aids without too much caffeine. I like my coffee, so I’m always skeptical of fat loss products already equivalent to 2-3 cups of coffee; it’s too much!! But I have found that the combination of 1 cup of black coffee twice/day and 3-4 Clenbutrol pills a day is perfect, and it helps nullify hunger.

One thing you could try, which is sort of a secret or the pros, is to use your fat burner RIGHT BEFORE BED. You want to be asleep when this stuff kicks in, so when I say “right before bed,” I mean RIGHT BEFORE FALLING ASLEEP. Your body will have the fat burner kicking during a decent 5-8 hour fast during sleep, and this equals AMAZING RESULTS FAST!! It’s not an hour before bed, not 20 minutes before bed, or 1 minute before your head hits the pillow!!

What should you expect at the end of 14 days?

You’re going to LOOK LEANER AND MORE SHREDDED!! You give your muscles a break while dieting and burning calories through increased cardio. I love the gym just as much as anyone else does, probably more!! Taking 14 days completely off from weights takes a lot of discipline for me!! But trust me, it gets easier once the results start coming in.

What should you expect when you get back into weights?

You’ll first notice a considerable increase in pump and muscle volume; you give your muscles a chance to rest and heal. You took in all the essential food and amino acids to help keep the pump, and your muscles will probably look like they have much more volume despite not lifting weights for two weeks. Within a few short days, and by bumping your carbs back up just 50 grams daily, you will look like a beast!!

Also, your strength levels will come back higher despite being leaner. This is a crucial part of body recomp!! Anytime we can change something around to increase the fat loss while still feeding the muscles enough, it’s this time that we experience actual composition and not just muscle catabolism that is just as on par as fat loss (possibly more).

Please continue the diet and supplements until at least six weeks into it. A couple of cheat meals won’t kill you, but in the first six weeks, we want to be as strict as possible, especially the first two weeks. After receiving numerous compliments and feeling way ahead of schedule, you may wonder, “If I did this in just six weeks, then what could I do in the next 6-8 weeks?”

And, of course, if you cycle steroids, then this would be a time to begin a cycle. I constantly hear all of this talk about certain steroids being no good if you don’t use them for at least 12-15 weeks, but I don’t buy into that. The best I’ve ever looked was doing a short 8-week cycle after a HARD 6 weeks of initial ass-busting and very few cheat meals!!

I believe the first six weeks of the diet and training are ultimately what help determine the outcome after a typical 12-14-week diet. Where to Buy Clenbuterol?

Clenbuterol is still used as a prescription medication outside the United States in many parts of the world. This means there’s a supply of pharmaceutical-grade Clen out there, which will always be the ultimate quality to get your hands on.

Pharmaceutical-Grade Clenbuterol

Clenbuterol is manufactured at the highest purity and under strict regulations as an approved pharmaceutical drug in many countries, where it is used to treat asthma and other breathing disorders. The US is one exception, so no pharmaceutical-grade Clenbuterol is sold in the United States. Albuterol is the approved drug of choice in the US, although it is quite similar to Clenbuterol in many ways. Despite this, Americans generally have no issues obtaining pharmaceutical-grade Clen, the ideal product. It ensures total purity and correct dosage in tablet form.

Clenbuterol is a hugely popular drug for fat burning – despite this use, it is illegal everywhere – and that means availability is widespread and costs are quite low. When it comes to the regulation of pharmaceutical-grade Clenbuterol, you are certainly still taking a legal risk when you buy it without a genuine medical need and a prescription from a doctor. However, Clenbuterol is not known to attract the same kind of attention as anabolic steroids do when it comes to the authorities.

While this doesn’t mean you could never find yourself in legal trouble for buying, selling, or using pharmaceutical-grade Clenbuterol for performance and fat loss purposes, the risk can be considered lower compared to hardcore steroids like Dianabol.

Research-grade Clenbuterol Products

Research labs can sell research-grade Clenbuterol for “research purposes” only. This usually comes in a liquid rather than tablet form. This is considered a loophole when it comes to obtaining Clenbuterol.

Technically, you should only buy from a research lab if you will do legitimate research on Clenbuterol. However, when it comes to enforcement of this requirement, it would be considered unlikely that authorities will follow up with every person who purchases products from research labs in small amounts. This is an option for those who can’t get their hands on pharmaceutical-grade Clenbuterol.

The quality of Clenbuterol from research labs can vary, so you will want to ensure you’re buying from somewhere with a good reputation.

Underground Lab (UGL) Clenbuterol

Thanks to Clenbuterol’s availability in high-quality pure pharmaceutical-grade production, few people would need to search for this drug from underground labs. Underground labs, while useful when it comes to buying otherwise difficult-to-obtain anabolic steroids, run the risk of selling you poor quality, underdosed, and impure drugs that don’t give you the results you expect.

This can be a big issue with some steroids, where there are often no alternative buying avenues. Still, when looking for Clenbuterol for sale, you’ll be extremely likely to find it relatively easy to locate pharmaceutical-grade products, making it very unlikely to look at underground labs for this particular fat-burning compound.

Availability of Clenbuterol

Despite Clenbuterol not being a legal prescription drug in the US, it is still relatively easy to purchase there. In almost every other country, Clen is widely available and not a problematic compound to buy in pharmaceutical grade from many of the usual sources where we can purchase anabolic steroids.

The other option we have is buying Clen as a research chemical. This should be a secondary choice because quality can be questionable. When buying Clen as a research product, you’ll almost always find it as a liquid. Spray versions are also available.

Is Clenbuterol Legal?

Although Clenbuterol has been approved for medical use in many countries, it has not received FDA approval in the United States. Therefore, Clenbuterol is not legally available through any avenue in the US. It is sold through research chemical suppliers, providing a method of buying Clen within a gray area of the law.

Although research chemicals must be sold under the disclaimer that they are to be used for research purposes only and not for human consumption, this is not currently monitored by authorities.

Even though it’s very different from steroids and other anabolic PEDs, Clenbuterol has still been listed as a prohibited substance by WADA15 and other sporting bodies. The fact that many high-profile athletes have been caught using Clenbuterol tells us that it is regularly tested for and taken seriously by anti-doping authorities in professional sports.

Typical Pricing

How much you need to pay for Clenbuterol will depend on whether you’re looking at buying pharmaceutical-grade Clen tablets or a research chemical version (usually liquid). If you’re fortunate enough to find pharma-grade Clenbuterol to buy, the tablets will typically be 20mcg each. This corresponds to the lowest dose most of us will look to take each day. But if you want to start at 10mcg, splitting a tablet in half is simple enough.

  • 40mcg tablets are also widespread. Regardless of dosage, packs of 100 pills will cost you anywhere from 50 cents to $2 per tablet.
  • When buying Clen as a research chemical, you’ll generally find that 200mcg/ml is the most common concentration. 30ml bottles can cost as much as $80 or as little as half that amount.

Keep in mind that not all Clenbuterol is created equally. Some may be under-dosed or manufactured using poor quality practices, impacting your results.

Clenbuterol FAQs

Is Clenbuterol an anabolic steroid?

No, Clenbuterol is a medication that was developed for asthma and other breathing conditions. The fact it is often used by bodybuilders and fitness models, many of whom also use anabolic steroids, suggests to some that it might also be a steroid; however, this is not the case.

While Clenbuterol has been shown in some animal studies to have an anabolic effect, there is no proof of this being the case in the human body. As such, it is not a muscle-building drug. Clenbuterol is useful for people who use anabolic steroids as well as those who don’t.

Is Clenbuterol dangerous?

This is a medication, so your body must get used to it. Starting with a very high dosage, say 100mcg daily, is not recommended. This is a powerful bronchodilator and stimulant, and a sudden high dosage poses a serious risk to heart health, which is why incremental dosing is essential. And if consumed sensibly, Clen is not dangerous.

Clen should be started on a low dose of 20-40mcg daily. The recommendation is that the dose is slowly increased over about two weeks, followed by a break and then a continuation of the cycle if you choose to continue.

Will Clenbuterol show up on a drug test?

The legality of Clenbuterol differs around the world. In the USA, the FDA has not approved Clenbuterol for human use, so you can’t buy it. The World Anti-doping Agency (WADA) lists Clenbuterol as a prohibited substance, so if you are tested under this agency’s rules, Clenbuterol will show up in a test and be considered prohibited.

It’s important to note that there are some reports of Clen being present as a result of contaminated meat, as this substance is known to be used to improve lean muscle in livestock, although such use is illegal in the US and Europe.

What is liquid Clen?

A liquid version of Clenbuterol called liquid Clen is popular because it is easy to take and even more efficient than the tablet form. The primary source for purchasing liquid Clen is through scientific research websites, but always be aware that quality can differ considerably between providers. Hence, it’s essential to seek out only reputable makers of liquid Clen. The difficulty in administering an exact dose is one of the significant downsides of liquid Clen.

How long does Clen take to work?

The stimulant effects of Clen become noticeable quickly after you start a cycle. When it comes to noticeable fat loss, the pace of your results will considerably depend on how hard and often you are working out and your diet. Clen is a tool to boost the results you’re getting – so the more dedicated you are to work out, the faster you will notice fat being lost, and for most people, this will be well within the first two-week cycle.

Is Clenbuterol a weight loss wonder drug?

Over a decade ago, Clenbuterol was touted as a weight loss wonder drug that was promoted as being able to help you drop fat without having to do a thing. Celebrities promoted it and became popular with anyone and everyone who wanted to lose weight, including those who wanted a solution that didn’t involve diet or exercise. We know this is impossible and not what Clen is for.

Can females take Clenbuterol?

Yes, Clen is just as suitable for women as it is for men. Dosages can be very similar between the sexes as well, and we are not dealing with the type of side effects that come with female anabolic steroid use. Most women will consider using Clen at between 20mcg and 40mcg daily as a starting point, potentially increasing the dosage incrementally to a maximum of 100mcg daily.

Will Clenbuterol burn belly fat?

Clen does not target a particular area of the body to burn fat. It will work to use stored fat as energy, so if you are holding extra fat around the abdomen but are lean elsewhere, Clen can be effective in cutting abdominal fat when combined with targeted exercises and cardiovascular workouts.

Final Thoughts

Everyone thinks anabolic steroids are the most extreme performance-enhancing drugs anyone can do. However, Clenbuterol blows virtually all AAS out of the water regarding risk. Clen is not a safe PED to use – I’ll be the first to admit it. Plenty of people use it without complications (at least in the short term), but the risks are there, and I don’t believe there’s an anabolic steroid that is more risky to use than Clenbuterol.

With all of that said…

No AAS can directly have you burning fat like Clenbuterol can, so if that’s your number 1 goal, then Clen will always be the choice over any steroids. Do the benefits outweigh the risks of using Clenbuterol? Many of us will say no – and if you don’t like feeling the effects of powerful stimulants, Clen isn’t for you.

My suggestion is to stick with the lower doses of Clen and ignore the noise out there around using higher doses – you don’t HAVE to maximize your Clen dose to get good results, and for me, keeping the dose moderate provides a solid balance between seeing pleasing results and managing those unpleasant side effects.
